New Year brings record success for CIPR students at Oxford College of Marketing

More Oxford College of Marketing (OxCoM) students than ever before gained their Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) qualifications at the December 2024 assessment boards.

Figures released by the CIPR early in the New Year, show that OxCoM put forward its highest-ever number of candidates in October 2024, with a record number of 48 gaining their targeted qualifications – with a high pass rate of 94%.

The CIPR is the UK’s longest-established professional organisation for public relations practitioners and since 1996, has been developing a growing suite of qualifications at undergraduate and postgraduate level which are now taught and recognised internationally. Oxford College of Marketing became one of its approved Teaching Centres in 2021 and has been building its reputation for exceptional academic standards with students and employers alike.

Jane Young, Managing Director at OxCoM, said: “We would like to say a huge ‘congratulations’ to all our students for achieving such exceptional results. We pride ourselves on our academic standards, and these results reflect our the hard work and dedication of our students and tutors.”

Senior Tutor, Mel Powell said: “OxCoM’s tutors bring together practitioner experience of working in PR and university-level academic knowledge. We’ve been working hard to develop excellent teaching materials which give clear practical support building up to the assessments, and we know from the feedback we’ve received that students and employers are feeling the benefits.”
