What is a Certificate of Origin?
A certificate of origin (COO) is a document confirming the country a goods were manufactured/originated. They are completed by exporters and are certified by a Chamber of Commerce.
There are two types of Certificates of Origin, United Kingdom Certificates of Origin which are accepted by most countries around the world and Arab-British Certificate of Origin which are used when dealing with Arab League nations.
Why is it needed?
Certificates of origins may not always be a requirement but can be required under the importing country’s regulations, at the request of a customer or, they may be necessary for you to get paid if you are dealing with a Letter of Credit.
How to apply?
