Workforce Survey

Working closely with the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC), the annual workforce survey is the flagship labour market survey of the Chamber of Commerce network. The results of the survey are widely reported across the media and are used to brief a very wide range of stakeholders (from the DfE, DIT, BEIS, HMT to the Low Pay Commission and Ofsted). The survey is electronic (conducted online) and goes out to Chamber members across the UK.

Below are the broad themes we look to explore in the survey:

–  Impact of employment policies on firms’ appetite to recruit and invest, looking specifically at the national living wage and apprenticeship levy.

–  Identify how possible changes in technology and labour market conditions may change firms’ recruitment and retention of employees.

–  Identify how possible changes flowing from Brexit may impact on firms’ ability to access skills and labour.
