Our Banner Networking events are held across the Thames Valley. They are an ideal opportunity for the Chamber and it’s members to showcase the success of local, regional and international businesses based or founded in the region.

Covering topical themes and delivered by high-quality speakers, our webinars are perfect for members looking for a professional platform to engage with likeminded individuals, giving business insights and tools to succeed, learn and develop their organisations and people.
Monetary Policy Report Briefing
The Bank of England’s Agency for Central Southern England visits the Thames Valley on a quarterly basis, to gather information directly from local business leaders. It is this data, together with equivalent data from the 11 other regional agents, that is fed back to the MPC in order that they can make a decision on the position of interest rates. The events take place one week after the Inflation Report has been published and the Bank’s agent summarises the report and takes questions from the delegates.
Education, Employment and Skills
Our Education, Employment and Skills events programme is dedicated to bridging the gap between business and education. Inspirational, interactive and educational, each event explores key policy issues around the ‘skills gap’ providing delegates with best practice guides. With a high calibre of expert speakers, panel debates and informative sessions, attendees have the opportunity to engage, learn and hear about the latest developments on the subject.
Business Leaders Forums
Designed for our Inspire, Lead and Business Alliances tiers, members have the opportunity to get involved, share experiences and expertise as sponsors and participate as speakers and delegates these interactive forums.

Global Leader Forums
The Global Leaders Forums give an ideal platform for business leaders looking to debate and discuss topics of international interest, often through the vehicle of facilitated panel discussions, enabling excellent peer-to-peer networking and knowledge sharing.
Our International Trade events programme is targeted towards conducting international business and making contacts. These events provide advice, guidance and information on the many aspects of international trade, whether it be exploring opportunities in overseas markets, topical issues in the world of global trading, business cultural and communication plus much more.
We run a range of policy events including Political Working Lunches (PWLs), Technology Business Roundtables, Life Sciences Business Roundtables and MP’s Roundtables. The Chamber’s flagship event, Windsor Debates is held twice a year. Find out more about policy events HERE.
This forum seeks to engage with all property and construction professionals with an agenda that covers topical and relevant issues within the sectors. Topics are derived from either business intelligence drawn from within property experts in membership or headlines created by changes in legislation or policy initiatives. The group is aimed at consultants, developers, contractors, service providers and local authority planners.
This forums delivers keynotes from the industry’s top technology executives and is targeted at all members who have an interest in technology and future trends. Our flagship event is the International Technology Conference which takes place in May each year, at Microsoft UK, Reading.
By invitation only, our roundtables help connect businesses in the Thames Valley to enhance collaborations, information exchange and strengthen commercial networks, promoting the region of destination of choice for investors.
Thames Valley Chamber Business Awards
Launched in 2018, our Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of our members and businesses in the Thames Valley. Feeding directly into the British Chambers of Commerce Awards we were thrilled when in 2019, four of our members won the regional awards. With 11 categories in total, we celebrated with over 230 members at the Reading Hilton, being expertly looked after by host Greg Rutherford. You can see the list of winners here.
