TVCC’s policy events programme includes the Chamber’s twice-yearly flagship event, Windsor Debates; a series of facilitated market and sector-focused business events, aimed at identifying the issues and opportunities affecting our membership and the region, and a series of local constituency focused MPs’ Roundtables which provide our members with the opportunity to hear directly from the region’s local MPs.
The outcomes of discussions held during these events are used to shape and frame the Chamber’s strategic policy direction and wider programme of activity.
During this flagship event, topical subjects provide opportunity for thought-provoking, insightful discussion, ensuring that we continue in our role as the leading voice in presenting the business case for the Thames Valley into Government, senior officials and key stakeholders representing the region. New insights emerging from these events are fed into our Business Manifesto, which outlines the opportunities and challenges the Chamber wants to champion in the year ahead.
Historically a one-day event, held twice a year in the prestigious setting of Vicars’ Hall, Windsor Castle, the most recent debates (September 2020 and March 2021) have taken place using digital platforms.
Please visit the Windsor Debates homepage for more information.
Business Manifesto Advisory Group (BMAG)
The BMAG acts as a scrutiny and review body, overseeing progress on the delivery of the Chamber’s annual Business Manifesto.
Chaired by an established and leading figure from business, the BMAG meets three times a year with agendas themed around the Business Manifesto’s main priorities. Reflecting on these and the wider issues affecting the Thames Valley and the prevailing political landscape, the BMAG continues to attract senior figures, Government representatives and business leaders as speakers and contributors.

Business-Led Sector Roundtables
The Thames Valley Chamber’s well established, business-led sector roundtables showcase the strength and depth of the Life Sciences and Technology sectors in the region. These events provide a forum for participants to debate the challenges and opportunities they are experiencing in their sector, to identify and implement appropriate strategies to address and realise these respectively, and, ultimately, to work towards ensuring that the Thames Valley remains a great place for both life sciences and technology companies to do business.

TVCC is hosting a new series of constituency focused MPs’ Roundtables in 2021, following the success of the Summer 2020 constituency and COVID-19 focused discussions in the Political Working Lunch series.
These events are chaired by our Local Chamber Presidents, and MPs will be joined in conversation by selected constituency-based businesses

Political Working Lunches (PWLs)
These events, which have for many years been hosted by Microsoft at their Reading headquarters, and historically included MEPs as keynote speakers, have, most recently, taken place on a virtual platform. The PWLs allow businesses to gain an understanding of the structure and workings of Westminster and how the political landscape can help business issues.
