Debbie Whiteley has just launched a personal assistant company with a difference. Trading as Pink Spaghetti Reading & Surrounds, Debbie will sell her time and experience by the hour to local small business owners, consultants, freelancers and home owners.
“Basically, it’s pay as you go,” she said. “There are a burgeoning number of micro-businesses across Berkshire, many of which operate from people’s homes and are not in a position to employ a full time or even part time assistant.”
“That is where I come in. I can take over the tasks that no business owner enjoys, from managing their social media to decluttering, bookkeeping and creating newsletters. Pink Spaghetti exists to take away the legwork from a business owner, releasing more time for them to spend on parts of the business that they love.”
“I believe I am unique in that I offer small businesses as many hours of support as they need, without any commitment and ties to a regular contract.”
Debbie’s background is varied, covering project and programme management, special needs teaching, marketing communications and events management, offering a variety of skills to her Pink Spaghetti clients. She has over 20 years of admin, project management, sales and marketing experience. In her spare time, she volunteers at events including the Surrey Youth Games, community events and as fence judge for three-day events.
“Running my own business will be a new challenge, an opportunity for me to combine my multi skill set as well as taking on a wide range of projects. I am looking forward to working with much greater flexibility, all whilst doing what I do best! I believe the key to success, is to find the right balance between professional and personal life.”
