Oxford Bus Company Supports Local Football Team

A senior football team has been given a boost after securing a new kit, thanks to the Oxford Bus Company.

Kirtlington FC received the kit, as part of the sponsorship by the ‘Park and Ride’ brand of Oxford Bus Company, the prestigious service that operates between five main Park and Ride sites and Oxford City Centre. The dazzling new kit emblazoned with the Oxford Park & Ride logo was unveiled at the beginning of the Witney & District Football Premier league, 2017-2018 season.

The Oxford Bus Company decided to back Kirtlington FC as one of the team’s players Mladen Besevic works as a manager for the company.

Oxford Bus Company Managing Director, Phil Southall, said: “We do not have a chosen charity as such and instead back a number of charities across the year. We encourage colleagues to put forward charity requests and local initiatives that will make a difference in our communities.

“Two of our core values are being socially responsible and working as a team, so backing one of our of colleague’s playing for a local football team is a partnership with great synergy.

“The health benefits of participating in sport are vast and it is great to see so many people enjoying football in Oxfordshire. We wish Kirtlington FC all the best for the rest of the season.”

Mladen said: “Everyone at Kirtlington FC is so grateful to the Oxford Bus Company for backing the team. It has made a massive difference to the club and its players, we couldn’t have provided new kit without their support. Personally, to have received such support from my employer is quite amazing and it means so much to me.”
