Oxford based entrepreneur runs maximum number of courses a year for Oxford University
Oxford based Robert Bullard, a copywriter, editor and trainer in writing skills, has been recognised by Oxford University’s Department of Continuing Education. He now runs six courses a year – helping businesses to blog, write better reports and websites, and with other writing skills. ‘It is the maximum number of courses they allocate to any trainer’, he says.
He has also immersed himself in Oxford’s literary world. As a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders, he re-established the dormant Oxford group, which he then ran for three years. And after writing a book in 2015 – Business Writing Tips (2015) – he got involved a networking group for published authors, Writers in Oxford, which he now chairs.
And now his name is spreading well beyond Oxford. In 2016 his book was picked up by the European Commission, who invited him to launch their annual Clear Writing Week – Robert gave a speech to 100 officials in Brussels. And as we write he was off to London, to talk to the CBI about their ‘Everyone’s Business’ campaign, which seeks to promote plain speaking and kill business speak.
