Welcome to the 2012 Bucks Business Breakfast programme, continuing the success of this business-focused speaker event. We always aim to attract an audience containing a healthy mix of regular attendees, together with some new faces. There is ample opportunity for informal networking, before we enjoy a traditional “Full English” breakfast [or vegetarian alternative !] and then settle down to listen to our expert speaker.
Each month, we welcome a guest with specific expertise, to guide us through some of the many the challenges facing us in business today. You can also meet with Sector Heads from the premier national investment promotion organisation UK Trade & Investment, as they tour key business locations and centres of excellence across the whole country. Now we can showcase the strength of our business community, the fantastic capabilities of the local area and the County!
Our main speaker today is Charles Brocklehurst, whose current role at Wycombe District Council puts him right at the heart of these issues. The future prosperity of the district is at stake and the business community has a key role to play in securing the economic future of Wycombe and the whole County.
Charles’s presentation will bring us up-to-date with progress on the Cressex Gateway, Handy Cross and Hughenden Quarter Regeneration projects, as well as allowing the opportunity for questions, as Charles is also responsible for the Council’s property portfolio and its acquisitions and disposals programme.
The UKTI Sector Heads are touring the whole of the country, gaining first-hand knowledge of our capabilities at local level and promoting their findings to the world’s business community.
