We look forward to welcoming you to this business focused, speaker event for the Wokingham Chamber of Commerce.
This flagship lunch continues the Chamber’s highly popular Business International Programme for 2010. The purpose of this programme of activity is to support the building of global business relationships and factors which can have a major affect on your business.
Our guest speakers will brief us on how world wide economic activity affects the UK economic outlook, what the outcome of the UK election in May means to business and the legacy of the world wide credit crunch.
They will pinpoint European and international opportunities for you and impart useful nuggets that impact on the way you do business internationally, with the aim of facilitating European and international trade and relationships.
Stephen Fuller, Corporate Commercial Partner, Harris Cartier LLP will brief the audience on Eurojuris International (the European Association of 600 or so lawyers). Stephen will share his knowledge on some of the key issues that businesses can run into when dealing with other countries and what options are open to you as a business to deal with them.
Gary Sage, Head of Strategy Research for SageHagan GmbH in Switzerland a boutique think-tank in the finance and international development sector, will talk about:
The next decade of world wide investment opportunities, social-technology, and impending UK political changes will redraw the boundaries of value creation – how smart business will balance self-interest with community-interest and still profit.
After a lost decade, a global credit crunch, a UK election – the next decade will usher in new business rules that redraw the boundaries of value creation – the triple bottom line of people, profits and planet are not fuzzy altruism anymore, they are a better business model.
The lunch will be invaluable for those who have an interest in knowing:
- How global business factors impact on your organisation
- The building of international business relationships
- Those who need to anticipate and understand European changes
- World wide investment opportunities and impending political changes that may impact upon business
This is an excellent opportunity to hear from a knowledgeable, leading envoy, diplomat or figure head – who has a wealth of insight and experience. And to put your business questions to them.
The lunch will also provide you with plenty of opportunity to mix with your corporate business counterparts from across the region.
