More Information:
We are delighted to announce that – in line with current Government policy thinking – the Thames Valley Transport Group has been relaunched as the Infrastructure, Connectivity & Transport Forum. The new format forum will now encompass all forms of infrastructure, connectivity, ICT and the green/low carbon agenda. Thames Valley, south-east and national issues will still be addressed.
The group will continue to meet four times a year and continue to discuss important current consultations with stakeholders in all modes of infrastructure & connectivity: rail, road, air, buses, environmentally-friendly options, as well as new technologies, station improvements and government funding.
And at this forum, we will summarise with a round-up of transport activity – successes & schemes put “on hold” for 2010 – and give an end of year review. We will outline our vision for the forum for 2011.
An interactive, round-table discussion will be encouraged, along with built in networking time over coffee
To make your voice heard, come along to the Infrastructure, Connectivity & Transport Forum, on Tuesday 23rd November, 10.00 am at the Chamber’s offices in Slough.
This meeting will include the following:
- The AA – technology required to cut cost to business of motorway closures – Paul Waters – Head of Public Affairs.
- RAC Foundation – the need for a policy framework to address the challenges facing the UK’s road infrastructure – Director – Professor Stephen Glaister.
- Slough Borough Council Update – Slough’s Third Local Transport Plan (LTP3) – including western access to Heathrow.
- Travel advice to businesses in relation to the Olympic Games 2012.
