- Slough's own working population is just over 56,000 people.
Around 30,000 commuters travel into the town daily.

dominant industry in the region, has declined whilst service
sector and new economy employment such as ICT, software
and creative and cultural sectors have increased employment.
- Slough Trading Estate is the largest Trading Estate in
single ownership in Europe. It houses 400 businesses providing
approximately 20,000 jobs.
- Slough Unemployment, at 1.9%, is amongst the lowest rates
in the country
- Slough has recently been identified as being in the top

- Slough Chamber of Commerce represents over 800 businesses
in and around Slough
- A membership organisation, Slough Chamber is run by a
Council of elected members, headed by Jane Masih of Owen

- Slough Chamber of Commerce members are represented by
Executive Officer James Hay. James is the Chamber members'
principal contact within the Chamber of Commerce.
- As one of eight Chambers in the Thames Valley Chamber
of Commerce Group, Slough Chamber of Commerce gives access

largest accredited Chambers in the UK. Slough Chamber, however,
remains autonomous in its local lobbying activities.
- The Slough Chamber works in partnership to actively influence

traffic congestion and the creation of an additional runway
