During April, the Local Annual Meetings (LAM) will be held in each regional Chamber, with the aim of discussing the key issues facing the business community and to elect members of each local Chamber Council.
Led by a team of local business representatives, the Chamber Councils meet on a regular basis to discuss, debate and progress the issues that face their business community. The Chamber Council meetings focus on key business priorities including: membership recruitment and retention; transport; retail; crime and security; skills & people; property; economic development & strategic planning; events; and council succession planning.
The Chamber Councils act as the ‘voice of local business’ and work hard to make each area a better place to live, grow and prosper. Each Chamber Council member has the unique ability to make a real difference to their local community.
If you are interested in joining your local Chamber Council, and would like to make a real difference to your community, we would like to hear from you. To express your interest, simply email wokingham@thamesvalleychamber.co.uk. The Chamber Council members will be selected though an election during the LAMs.
