HomeNewsChamber News How positive is your business culture?

Wednesday, 24th February 2010

Dr Kevin Money – director of the John Madejski Centre for Reputation and a member of the Faculty for Human Resource Management, at Henley Management College – will be providing an insight into the importance of a positive business culture, at the next in the series of Business Insight 2010 events, to be held on 5 March at Ascot Racecourse.

With the view that psychology has a tendency to focus on the negative, with businesses and individuals following suit, Kevin will explore the significance of employers instilling a positive culture in the workplace. This involves employees taking time out to reflect and share experiences in terms of what is working well and why.

An editor of the Journal of General Management and Manager Update, Kevin’s style is engaging, interactive and refreshing. He challenges the status quo and brings a unique blend of knowledge, enthusiasm, and cross-cultural experience to his work with organisations.

Commenting on the event Philip Montague, business manager for the Bracknell Chamber of Commerce, said:
“As an expert in his field – working as a consultant mentor to companies including BT, Canon, Marks & Spencer, Barclays, Tesco, the Hong Kong Police, the Parkinson’s Disease Society and the New Zealand Fire Service – Kevin will deliver an insightful and motivating speech, which will help attendees understand how negative thinking can burden their business.

“Following the presentation, Kevin will open up the floor to questions and comments, so make sure come prepared to take part in a lively and insightful debate.
