HomeNewsChamber News Thames Valley Business Women Celebrate International Women’s Day

Monday, 15th February 2010

Business women from across the Thames Valley will unite at the Hilton Hotel, Reading, to celebrate International Women’s day on 8 March. The event will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn about the essential secrets of business success and the chance to build their network, through a wide range of networking activities.

Set to attract over 100 business women, the event will welcome a range of motivational speakers, including keynote speaker Liz Jackson, MBE, CEO, Great Guns Marketing. A multi-award winning business woman, she is a truly inspirational speaker and enthrals audiences with her witty, genuine and highly entertaining natural talent.

Her business achievements speak for themselves as Liz’s company, Great Guns Marketing, goes from strength to strength; a company she started in 1998 aged 25 with no money, no advanced education and rapidly failing eyesight. Liz is now totally blind but continues to build her company into the UK’s leading business to business telemarketing force. Drawing from her own experiences, Liz is adept at presenting on a range of subjects, including motivation and inspiration.

Attendees can also enjoy an entertaining and interactive workshop presented by Success Network founders Ute Wieczorek-King & Mary Fraser. The workshop will focus on the key attributes of famous women, and how women can learn from them.

Commenting on the event Ginette Gower, head of sales and marketing at the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating on the only evening event for International Women’s Day in the Thames Valley. The evening promises to be inspirational and motivational for business women in the region. Delegates will be able to network, hear from excellent speakers and share knowledge that will help grow their business. Join us for an inspirational networking and learning experience that will both energise and motivate you to excel in business!”

The event is organised by the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group in conjunction with Success Network and is sponsored by Business Link, NatWest Bank, Champneys Health Resort and Menzies Accountants.
