Honda has taken the following action:
- Enhanced cleaning regimes for all solid surfaces – eg. door handles
- All employees issued with antiseptic handwash and Government guidelines reinforced
- Any employee who exhibits symptoms or reports any family member with confirmed swine flu is immediately sent home (temporary suspension), but remains on full pay for 7 days. To-date confirmed cases (number remains confidential) have resulted in infection from immediate family members (mainly school- children)
- Travel restrictions have been in place to high risk countries, but these have now been lifted
- One benefit of excess manpower which we have temporarily is enabling us to train up associates to cover for any critical process absences.
