Oxfordshire Chamber of Commerce do not currently have a vision as such but use the document below as a guide.

Oxfordshire Chamber Council Proposition 2009 (Who we are and what we do)

Objectives

Relationships: Establish and maintain good liaison/working relationships with representatives from local organisations including the County Council and District Councils.

Representation: Representatives with expertise in relevant policy areas and areas of local interest will be present on the Council. This will ensure that Chamber Council members are fully briefed on changes and developments that impact on the business and political community. These updates will also provide the basis for provision of information to business members of the Oxfordshire Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber Council will be able to invite guest attendees to meetings to update on specialist areas e.g. OX1 on City Centre activities.

Facilitation: Produce 3/4 Chamber Council newsletters per year to include:

Representatives of the Chamber Council can also host/facilitate meetings, events or consultations as a result of feedback from the membership.

Meeting times will be 8am – 9.30am on a bi-monthly basis. The meetings will take place in Oxford City.

A brief statement/report (handful of bullet points) is required in advance of each meeting from each member of the Chamber Council about his/her subject/policy area. This applies whether they were able to attend the meeting or not.
