Wednesday, 4th March 2009

Jane Masih, partner at Owen White solicitors and president of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group, will be sharing her extensive knowledge of franchising at the next Slough Business Lunch, to be held on 10 March at Grovefield House hotel, Burnham.

Jane – who heads the franchise team at Owen White solicitors and has in excess of 20 years’ experience advising franchisors – will explain how franchising works and will highlight the benefits of adopting it as a business model.

Commenting on the event, Gavin Spencer, business manager for the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group, said: “Franchising is a proven and established method of distributing goods and services, with many household names having adopted a franchise structure to expand their businesses successfully.

“The object of the presentation will be to provide both business owners and professional advisers with a checklist of the principal features of a franchise which will be useful whether a business is considering expanding through developing a franchise network, or acquiring a franchise license for the first time.

“As with all the Chamber’s events, attendees will also be given the opportunity to network with other businesses in the region, helping them form those all important business relationships.”
