Reading Property Group

Reading Chamber of Commerce hosts the Reading Property Group, a special interest group for professionals in the property and construction industries. This group meets regularly to specifically address some of the policy issues affecting these industries in Reading.

This group has been re-organised for 2009 and the new Chairman is Derek Ching of full service law firm Boyes Turner. Derek is supported by the newly appointed Vice-Chairperson Clare Kelly of property consultants King Sturge.

The Property Group was set up in 1996, with the focus very much on the construction and property industry in the Reading area. The group seeks to engage with all property professionals, whether they are consultants, owners and developers, contractors or service providers. It also seeks to build a strong working and consultative relationship with Reading Borough Council’s planning team. This interest group meets every two months for a committee meeting followed by an open forum with guest speakers.
