HomeNewsChamber News New initiative ‘Link to China’ to be launched to Berkshire businesses at Business Insight

Thursday, 3rd February 2011

This new programme is being launched at Business Insight at Ascot Racecourse on Friday 4 February 2011, starting at 7.30am.

The event speaker is Dr Kegang Wu, the Chief China advisor to the British Chambers of Commerce who will share with delegates his insight on how this exciting collaboration will benefit the business community in the Thames Valley. As well as explaining the benefits of fostering links between our two countries he will also answer questions regarding trade opportunities with China regions and why businesses should have a China strategy.

Delegates will also discover how to develop closer working relationships with this dynamic market, gain access to a new match-making vehicle through the Chamber and the availability of free support from partners in China.

Paul Briggs, Chief Executive of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group said: “At a time of well publicised high level Government activity to develop close political and economic links between UK businesses and China, we are delighted to launch Link to China to members. “A key factor to doing business, particularly in China, is the development of good working relationships as, without spending time on this, there will be limited opportunities. I believe that the`Link to China` initiative will give Thames Valley businesses a head start.”

“This programme has a number of key strategic partners here in the Thames Valley and represents an excellent opportunity for trade opportunities with China regions. Chinese companies will also receive a reciprocal service as they seek to invest in the UK providing great opportunity for Chamber members.”
